Losing weight can be extremely tricky business. You have to find what works for your body, as everyone's body is different. You may process foods different than your best friend, who seems to be doing great on her diet. Unfortunately, the diet just isn't doing the trick for you. Sometimes, you need to do some trial-and-error to find out what works for you. However, science shows that these four foods and beverages may be able to help you lose weight, especially when you eat them as part of a balanced diet.
There is a good reason why you see your friends and co-workers snacking away on yogurt during lunch and breaks when they're on a diet. A study from 2005 showed that participants who ate three servings of high-calcium, high-protein yogurt (and 500 fewer overall calories) a day were able to lose 22 percent more weight, 61 percent more body fat and even 81 percent more stomach fat than the other group of individuals who only consumed a single serving daily.
Grapefruits are jam-packed with water and fiber, which makes them the perfect food to fill you up and hold off your appetite for a while. Research shows that it is quite effective in promoting weight loss, especially if half of a grapefruit is consumed prior to eating a full meal.
For a healthy, mid-afternoon snack, you need to look no further than some almonds. One study shows that almonds can help control your appetite without actually resulting in weight gain. A 24-week study suggests that a low-calorie diet with almonds can help significantly in weight reduction. In fact, there was a 62 percent increase in weight loss in this group when compared to the group that ate a low-calorie diet with complex carbohydrates in addition to the almonds.
4. Green Tea
You may have heard about the numerous benefits of green tea, but you may not have heard that green tea is healthy and could promote weight loss. Research suggests that green tea has the power to fight off some of your bulge by encouraging fat oxidation and thermogenesis. It is recommended to drink green tea hot in order to maximize its weight loss benefits, as ice can dilute it down.
After you've changed your diet and maintained a fitness regimen, you should start seeing some results. If you don't, you may want to consult with professionals at weight loss clinics. You may need a more custom approach to battling your bulge.Share

I knew that my hearing wasn’t as good as it had once been, but I was still upset when my doctor told me that I had a significant hearing loss in both ears, and that I was going to need hearing aids if I wanted to participate more fully in my day to day life. But then I started researching hearing aids. I was thrilled to find out that there were small, barely visible aids that could help me hear without marking me as hearing impaired on first glance. Even better, the hearing aids were much more advanced than I’d thought. The ones that I chose can actually help cancel out environmental noise, like the clatter of a loud restaurant, so that I can focus on conversation with the waitress or the person across the table. My hearing aids have really improved my life.
